IBIDOYIN AINA - Managing Partner
Ibidoyin Aina is a lawyer and business advisor with a growing reputation for providing practical legal solutions to individuals, startups, and businesses in Nigeria. She is the Managing Partner of Doyen & Astrea Legal Services (DAL), where she advises clients on corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, governance, and business structuring.
Through her work, Ibidoyin supports businesses at different stages of growth, helping them navigate company formation, legal compliance, contracts, dispute resolution, and corporate governance. Her approach is simple and direct: she focuses on understanding her clients’ goals and providing legal guidance that helps them build stable and well-structured businesses.
Beyond her legal practice, Ibidoyin is actively involved in sports governance and development. She serves on the Women’s Football Committee and the Arbitration and Disciplinary Committee of the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), where she contributes to the growth and governance of football in Lagos State.
She is also the founder of Herizon Sports Initiative, a platform focused on creating opportunities for women and girls in football through mentorship, development programs, and competitions. As part of this effort, she established the Ibidoyin Aina Cup, an annual female football tournament aimed at promoting participation and leadership among young women in sports.
Ibidoyin is known for her professionalism, strong sense of responsibility, and commitment to delivering quality legal services. She believes the role of a lawyer goes beyond solving problems; it includes helping clients build systems and structures that allow their businesses to grow with confidence.
She studied law at Afe Babalola University and was called to the Nigerian Bar after completing her training at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja.
SEKINAT ABUBAKRE – Partner
Sekinat Abubakre is a commercial and corporate lawyer with extensive expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and complex commercial transactions. As a Partner at Doyen & Astrea Legal Services, she provides strategic legal counsel across corporate advisory, intellectual property, real estate, and sports governance matters, while contributing to the firm’s legal strategy and operations.
Prior to joining Doyen & Astrea, Sekinat worked across both private and public sector institutions, where she advised leading organisations on regulatory compliance, board governance, company secretarial services, and corporate transactions. Her career spans advisory work for start-ups, established businesses, and technology-driven enterprises, combining legal expertise with practical business insight.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Ilorin and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister-at-Law (B.L). She is currently pursuing professional certification with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and has completed advanced courses in international dispute resolution and sports law.
In addition to her legal practice, Sekinat co-manages Herizon Sports Initiative (HSI), a non-governmental initiative focused on promoting female participation and leadership in football and community sports programmes. This initiative reflects her commitment to governance, strategic planning, and capacity-building beyond traditional corporate practice.
In her current capacity, Sekinat advises clients on corporate structuring, governance compliance, and commercial transactions, delivering practical and results-driven legal solutions that align with business objectives. She is recognised for her ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
